2nd Annual General Aviation Fun Day

In 2008, we held our 2nd Annual General Aviation Fun Day at New Bedford Regional Airport.

The event was much larger our second year. Static aircraft on display included Mass Aeronautics Commission Helicopter, Citabria, Russian Sukoi SU-29, C45H, Mass National Guard Blackhawk Helicopter, and General Aviation Aircraft among others. There was a group of aviation themed artists who displayed their paintings for the public to view. Vendors were here selling items to the public. FedEx brought a truck full of goodies for the kids to enjoy, And Miss New Bedford 2008 and Miss South Coast 2008 stopped by to show their support. There were raffles with prizes valued at over $300. In addition to the New Bedford Police K-9's demonstration, the New Bedford Fire Department did a demonstration as well. Check back for photos of the event.
