So, what do we do you ask? Check us out!!
The Atlantic Aviators hold different events at their local airport in order to foster new interest in aviation. We mentor local girl scout troops and assist scouts to get their aviation badges. Each year we host a General Aviation Fun Day, at New Bedford Regional Airport(KEWB). More recently, we've begun raising funds to install an aviation themed playground at New Bedford Regional Airport. You can see our membership table at many aviation events around the area. For a list of aviation events in MA, please visit our events page.

Girl Scout Mentoring
Each year our group works with local Girl Scout troops helping them earn their Aerospace badges! We put together some activities for the troop to participate in as well as providing them with information about flying. After our activities we give them a tour of an aircraft hangar and have them check out the inside of an airplane. We bring them to the New Bedford Regional Airport's observation deck (weather permitting) to better show and explain more about taking off, landing and taxi-ing an aircraft. Below is a slideshow of last year's scouting event.
