Aviation Themed Playground Progress Report

This playground will provide a hands-on learning experience to children of all ages and abilities. It will be a unique opportunity to capture their imaginations, while serving as an introduction to the world of aviation. Inspiring children to pursue an education in aviation or a related science, technology, engineering or math field is our ultimate goal.

Thank you to all that made this playground possible! On Saturday, September 28, 2013 over 50 volunteers were on hand to assemble and install the playground structures. The surfacing of poured in place rubber and x-grass was then installed. A Ribbon Cutting Ceremony officially opening the playground was held on Saturday, November 2, 2013. On December 11, 2013, the playground was renamed the LCpl Matthew R Rodriguez Memorial Playground. Check out the Community Outreach page for more details!
